Ascensions provides children and families the quality therapeutic services and social initiatives they need to improve their self-concept, interpersonal relationships, and make positive contributions to their communities.
City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep DCPS students in school and on track to graduate. Corps members support students by focusing on attendance, behavior and course performance through in-class tutoring, mentoring and after school programs.
Critical Exposure teaches youth to use the power of photography and their own voices to become effective advocates for school reform and social change.
DC Fiscal Policy Institute conducts research and public education on budget and tax issues in the District of Columbia, with a particular emphasis on issues that affect low- and moderate-income residents.
